Wimborne Town FC New Website

We built a custom designed WordPress website for a local football club.

A non-league local football club with long established roots that are just about to move to new grounds.

The Task

To create a new website with a clean layout that’s mobile freindly, easy to update and maintained monthly all for a reasonable cost.

Oh and the next game is on the 12th September (two weeks away) and we would really love it if we could have the new site ready by then…

The Process

The club website was originally done by a fan, unfortunately the fan was no longer able to maintain the site and the club was looking for a new partner to come in and update the website to something clean and modern.

The original website was built using WordPress, this made the task of migrating the website easier. The first step in the process was to complete a transition from the existing hosting company over to Atomic and relaunch the existing site with a few amendments until the new site was ready.

All the time the old website was live the new website was being build on a development server. This way the customer could see the build progress in real-time. Once signed off the old site was taken down and the new site launched in it’s place.
