National Hoarding operates within a larger print group and needed a dedicated eCommerce platform to support the construction trade. The challenge was selling a highly configurable product while keeping the buying process clear and manageable for customers.
We built a custom WooCommerce website on WordPress, designed to handle a wide range of product options without overwhelming users. Hoarding panels were set up as variable products, allowing customers to select panel size, substrate, headers, footers, and additional options such as coloured screw caps.
To manage the complexity, we implemented conditional logic within the product configuration. This reduced hundreds of potential combinations down to a small number of clear choices, while still allowing customers to build exactly what they needed. Optional extras were added as upsells, helping increase order value without adding friction to the journey.
The site also supports quantity based pricing, with automatic discounts applied as order volumes increase. This reflects how the product is bought in practice and makes pricing clear for trade customers. A dedicated artwork upload area allows customers to submit files directly as part of the order process, streamlining production.
To support ongoing marketing, the website integrates with email marketing and remarketing tools, including abandoned cart follow ups and repeat engagement campaigns. Performance, visibility, and tracking were built in from launch, providing a solid foundation for both organic and paid activity.
The result is a flexible, trade focused eCommerce platform that simplifies complex purchasing decisions, supports higher order volumes, and gives National Hoarding a scalable digital sales channel.
